Kellen McCormack is a lifelong Hoosier who holds nursing degrees from Ivy Tech Bloomington and WGU. He is a Fellow of Medical Ethics from the Charles Warren Fairbanks Center for Medical Ethics in Indianapolis and Certified Healthcare Ethics Consultant. Kellen has more than a decade of experience in nursing, spending most of his career in a variety of critical care settings including Neuro/Trauma and CVICU. He has been a Clinical Operations Manager for CVICU as well as an Operational Excellence Improvement Leader at IU Health. Kellen is the Regional Ethicist of IU Health’s South Region, supporting patients, families and team members with ethical dilemmas and morally complex care since 2025. He has a passion for the whole spectrum of applied and clinical ethics with areas of interest in moral distress navigation and staff support, as well as ethical frameworks for leader and organizational decision-making. Kellen lives in Bloomington with his wife, Ashlie, and enjoys his time running, hiking, cycling, and supporting local roller derby across Indiana.
